Description

Flora Defense contains pure yeast cultures from Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. boulardii and the lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus and a prebiotic (oligofructose).

Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. boulardii It has natural resistance to antibiotics, with the exception of certain quinolones and antifungal agents. These yeasts are not digested in the digestive tract. Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. boulardii produces a toxin-inactivating protease produced by Clostridium difficile.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus —by producing lactic acid, it lowers the pH in the intestines, thereby inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. Lactobacillus rhamnosus has been shown to inhibit the colonization of the gastrointestinal tract by Clostridium perfringens in dogs by up to 80%. The metabolites of Lactobacillus rhamnosus stimulate both local and systemic immunity. After enriching the diet with this strain of microorganisms, a higher sensitivity of cellular receptors to insulin andmore effective weight loss, indicating the potential for using Lactobacillus rhamnosus in weight loss programs. In addition, individuals receiving a diet containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus showed higher concentrations of GABA—a neurotransmitter that alleviates mood disorders and reduces anxiety levels.

Ingredients: Saccharomyces boulardii yeast (10 × 10⁹ CFU/g), Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR06 (1 × 10⁹ CFU/g), oligofructose.

Dosage:

Cats, ferrets, rodents, cats, and dogs weighing up to 20 kg—1 capsule
Dogs weighing 20–40 kg—2 capsules
Dogs weighing over 40 kg—3 capsules

If it is difficult to administer the capsule orally, it is recommended that you open it and mix the contents with a small amount of your pet’s favorite food. If the diet consists solely of dry food, lightly moisten it before administering the product so that the capsule’s contents adhere to the food and are fully absorbed by the animal. This medication can be used at the same time as antibiotics.
